The exemption process is now closed for 2015. The information below is subject to change. Details of the 2016 process will be updated in due course.
In exceptional cases a candidate may be exempt from the test on geographic grounds if they live and are educated in a country where we do not offer the test, and it is not possible to test in a neighbouring country.
Universities expect candidates to take the test where possible which for many overseas candidates may mean travelling a reasonable distance.
Please ensure you check the Test Centre Locator first to find your nearest centre before deciding to make a request for exemption.
If you believe you might be exempt from the test on any other grounds (e.g. medical) please contact UKCAT directly. It is advisable to contact us as early as possible as we will need to collect evidence from you to consider your application.
